                      OUR CLASSES

The Maine Coast Workshop is a small woodworking school located in the scenic coastal community of Camden, Maine, nestled in a scenic harbour on the Penobscot Bay. Our woodworking school focuses on traditional hand tool techniques taught by some of the most well-respected woodworking instructors in the world. Students of all abilities come to take woodworking & wood carving classes.  You'll enjoy wonderful camaraderie, a supportive environment, and you'll advance your skills more in one week than years on your own.

Please note that the following classes are best suited for intermediate skill level and above: Matt Kenney tea cabinet & Alf Sharp Chippendale chair. Familiarity with hand and power tools is a prerequisite for those two only.  Some students may not complete their projects.  I so, all project parts should be completed and ready for final assembly at home.

     2. We much prefer if you would pay by check via regular mail (PayPal fees are high).   Send to:

Either way, please be sure to include the one-time registration fee of $55 and return the questionnaire.  You will be            notified of any additional materials fees.

Classes will be filled on a first-come first-served basis based upon receipt of the Registration Form and deposit or full payment (if class is < 4 days).

Maine state Covid info here.

  We plan to abide by state guidelines re. Covid.  As of May 20, 2021, Gov. Mills has updated Maine's COVID-19 policies, including lifting masking requirements in indoor spaces, except in child care settings, health care settings, on public transportation and in businesses that choose to set their own masking guidelines.  Our advice is for anyone who feels they are at high risk, or will not be comfortable in a small shop setting may prefer to wait til 2022.

  • All classes will be limited in size

  • All classes are refundable if cancelled prior to 60 days before the start date. Details here.

  • All benches, machines, hand tools, and door handles are sanitized after each class.

  • We respectfully ask anyone not feeling well or with significant concern about the virus to wait until next year
